THANK YOU!

So, unfortunately RME doesn’t let me know who signed up, but I have received money from referrals, so thanks to whoever is helping a gal out! And I hope you enjoy your bucks, too!

Latest House News…an electrician is scoping out the place today, and another pro is checking out the house Monday (gulp. talk about cutting it close. seeing as though closing is wednesday). I’ve decided not to stress…for the minute, anyway. :-)

The boys are sleeping, so I’m going to get to crafting. I have some new ideas that I just can’t wait to begin. Here’s to a long nap time!

Ramblings

First off, my grandmother has started a blog of her own. It’s lovely, and she is one funny lady! Yay for you, grandma! I love you. :)

Well, I’ve been painting a bit this weekend and sewing here and there. I’ve also been discovering different, wonderful sites, thanks to Sarah and her StumbleUpon suggestions. I haven’t signed up, but I’ve gleaned much from her faves and reviews. Thanks chic!

Ooh, some of my fabric pictures were included in this blog, which is actually really inspiring. Great for newbies to sewing, like myself.

I’ve also come to the realization that it is time for the Murray’s to find a nest of their own. (Well, I’ve known that awhile, but it’s been very apparent lately). It’s no secret to family or friends that we will have been with my parents for (gulp) *3 years* this May! That was not in the plan! (Haha, I know. Plan? When does a plan ever pan out like you want it to?) I’m not in a frantic rush to get out, because in reality, it’s been an amazing few years. I love my parents, and so does Erick, and the fact that Jack and Ryan are so close to their Papa and Nonnie is very, very cool. The space factor is a biggie though. We are just plain running out of room. Our bedroom is ghastly. A conglomeration of everything that would normally be spread out in an entire house. My parents have dreams of turning their currently-occupied guest bedrooms into work studios, and I would love for them to be able to get to it. My precious younguns’ are also making their mark on various furniture and flooring…you normally shouldn’t have to worry about things like that when your kids are grown and gone, right? Wrong! If your grandkids live with you, that is!

Anyhow, I’m ready to nest. It’s time to spread out, even if it is in a tiny house. Up until this current school year, Erick was only subbing, so moving out wasn’t an option. This year, though…with the full time paycheck and everything, it’s time to go. So far nothing do-able has come up, but hopefully this Next Big Adventure is right around the corner.

Well, Erick took the boys to his school this evening to watch the Super Bowl (we don’t have cable here), so I need to get myself busy and do things I normally can’t with 2 children underfoot! Yay for a little Me time!

My Etsy Dream Come True

Ok Folks…

I’ve worked like a madwoman this weekend to be able to share with you my little pride and joy. I’m an official Etsy Store Owner! Although I’m going to work on opening up a craft store in the *hopefully* sooner-than-later future, I decided to start out in the supply arena. I found a great line of decorator fabric that I’m able to offer for a really good price. I’m thrilled! I’m working on adding items right this minute, but I just had to take a break and share with you my good news. My official business title is Bliss, but you can find my store at www.jensbliss.etsy.com. Please come visit, and then let me know what you think! In the meantime, here are a few pictures to tempt you. :)

A Week for the Books

Ups and Downs. Peaks and Valleys. Highs and Lows. This week has been a veritable roller coaster ride!

The boys were struck with something nasty that still hasn’t gone away completely. Yet, God worked a timely miracle (per my last post). I’m resigned to the fact that they probably suffer from asthma like their Mom, and yet I’m thankful that we’ll be able to utilize some alternatives (chiropractic care, etc) that I wish I had known about all my life. I haven’t felt too hot myself for the last 4 or 5 days, but it hasn’t gotten any worse, praise God. I’m gonna lick it, I tell you!

Tuesday marked a milestone-it was Ryan’s 3rd birthday! Unfortunately it went by without much fanfare since he could barely lift his head from the couch. If he’s able, this weekend we are going to treat him to Pizza Hut and a party afterwards. My little boy is three. Blows my mind.

Mom and dad made some sales in their Etsy Shop! Wahoo! It’s easy to get buried in Etsy and they haven’t had a lot of time to market, but a sale is a sale, baby! Also, they were accepted into the Maine Made Organization. Another means to get their product out and about. I’m thrilled for them; they have so much to offer. Oh, and my sis-in-law made a sale too. You Rock, family!

Finally, I’m realizing a dream of my own. I received my official business license this week. ;-) I’m going to get things rolling before I announce the ins and outs, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be up and running in a couple of weeks. This has been a dream of mine for quite a while, so stay tuned!

I’m off to bed-I’m certain we have another long night of cuddlin’ coughin’ boys ahead. Gotta take sleep when I can get it!
